IAFF LOCAL 1095

Our full time career firefighters are all proud members of the IAFF Local 1095.  Our main station is staffed by two firefighters at all times.

All of our career firefighters have completed Essentials of Firefighting training through the PA State Fire Academy. Most of our members are certified to at least Firefighter 1 with many holding other Pro Board certifications, such as Firefighter 2, Fire Officer 2, Driver/ Operator,  Rescue Technician - Confined Space, Vehicle & Machinery, Structural Collapse, and Trench, and Hazardous Materials Operations Level.

 

PA STATE FIRE ACADEMY

 

 

 

All of our Career Firefighters are Certified as Basic Vehicle Rescue Technicians through the PA Department of Health. Certification at this level requires completion of 48 hours of lecture and practical training followed by a written and practical examination. Most of our personnel are also certified the the DOH as Emergency Medical Technicians, which requires that you complete 125 hours of training and written and practical examinations.

IAFF FIREFIGHTERS AND MDA
 

Our Professional Firefighters are active in raising money and awareness to help fight Muscular Dystrophy through MDA, currently we are working organizing our yearly Boot Drop, which is scheduled for August 16th.
